Persistence Is Not Futile: Re-Opening the Historic Moffett Chapel
Moffett Field Chapel - Constructed in 1945, Moffett Chapel was patterned after the Spanish Colonial Mission churches found throughout California. It offers a revolving altar which can be rotated to provide the appropriate settings for Protestant, Catholic, Jewish or non-denomination services. Closed for over two years, the chapel re-opened on Dec. 7, 2014, Pearl Harbor Remembrance Day. (U.S. California Air National Guard photo by Tech. Sgt. Ray Aquino/Released)
