Adam Vanhaaster, a pararescueman assigned to the 131st Rescue Squadron, and his patient into the HH-60G Pave Hawk rescue helicopter Feb. 4, 2012. Responding to the call from the Eleventh District Coast Guard at Alameda, pararescuers, or PJs, two Pave Hawks and one MC-130P Combat Shadow aircraft departed Moffett Federal Airfield. The team provided medical assistance to a 54-year-old male who had suffered stroke-like symptoms on the MSC Beijing, acargo ship more than 200 miles off the coast of California.
