Save 948: Beijing MSC
Master Sgt. Jimmy Petrolia and Staff Sgt. Adam Vanhaaster, pararescuemen assigned to the 131st Rescue Squadron drop off a patient from an HH-60G Pave Hawk rescue helicopter at San Jose Regional Medical Center Feb. 4, 2012. Responding to the call from the Eleventh District Coast Guard at Alameda, pararescuers, or PJs, two Pave Hawks and one MC-130P Combat Shadow aircraft departed Moffett Federal Airfield. The team provided medical assistance to a 54-year-old male who had suffered stroke-like symptoms on the MSC Beijing, acargo ship more than 200 miles off the coast of California.
