PJs save fishermen 700 miles off coast of Mexico
Guardian Angel Pararescuemen from the 129th Rescue Wing carry an injured fisherman from an HH-60G Pave Hawk rescue helicopter at General Juan N. Álvarez International Airport, Acapulco, Mexico, March 12, 2012. The injured fisherman was transferred to an MC-130P Combat Shadow aircraft and flown to Marine Corps Air Station Miramar near San Diego, Calif., for further medical treatment. 129th RQW Airmen conducted a long-range over-water rescue mission 700 miles off the coast of Mexico March 10-12 to save two fishermen who were burned in a diesel fire onboard the Chinese fishing vessel, Fu Yuan Yu #871.
