129th Rescue Wing and 58th Rescue Squadron rescue seriously ill cruise ship passenger
129th Rescue Wing and 58th Rescue Squadron Pararescuemen hoist a passenger off the bow of the Holland America cruise ship, ms Westerdam. The passenger became seriously ill on Saturday, requiring medical treatment beyond the capabilities of the ship's medical staff. Once rescued the passenger was flown to San Diego, Calif. for further medical treatment. The 129th RQW Airmen are based at Moffett Federal Airfield, Calif. and the 58th RS Airmen are based at Davis-Monthan Air Force Base, Ariz. (Air National Guard photo by Staff Sgt. Kim Ramirez)
