PJs save fishermen 700 miles off coast of Mexico
A Guardian Angel Pararescueman from the 129th Rescue Wing provides medical treatment to an injured fisherman onboard an MC-130P Combat Shadow aircraft, March 12, 2012. The injured fisherman was flown to Marine Corps Air Station Miramar near San Diego, Calif., for further medical treatment. 129th RQW Airmen conducted a long-range over-water rescue mission 700 miles off the coast of Mexico March 10-12 to save two fishermen who were burned in a diesel fire onboard the Chinese fishing vessel, Fu Yuan Yu #871. Guardian Angel Pararescuemen from the 129th Rescue Wing carry an injured fisherman off an HH-60G Pave Hawk rescue helicopter, Mar. 12, 2012. The injured fisherman was flown to San Diego, Calif. for further medical treatment.
