129th Rescue Wing, Moffett Federal Airfield, Calif.
Located in the heart of the Silicon Valley at Moffett Federal Airfield, the 129th Rescue Wing's mission is to train and prepare to perform its wartime missions of combat search and rescue anywhere in the world.
As an Air National Guard unit, many of the 129th's missions have involved support of the governor's office during state emergencies. Numerous high-risk life saving missions have been accomplished using the combination of MC-130P Combat Shadow aircraft, HH-60G Pave Hawk helicopters, and highly skilled pararescuemen.
